Hey everyone! My name is Talia – the new Digital/Social Media Marketing Assistant for That’s mine, and a fashion promotion student at UCLan in Lancashire.
I am so excited to be a part of this company, especially as it’s a family business, and who better to be their new addition then their own niece! The That’s mine husband and wife team (or as I know them Uncle Paul and Auntie Elaine!) have kindly offered me an internship, giving me an insight into the industry and how a small business works successfully!
At college I studied Textiles and now I study at the University of Central Lancashire, and my course is BA (Hons) Fashion Promotion with Sandwich. The course gives you an education on fashion and how the industry works in different segments. We explore areas like PR, promotion, styling and lots more. This was perfect for me as I wanted to be creative but also learn about business, and how to sell a product.
My role at That’s mine is Digital/Social Media Marketing Assistant. This includes collaborating and managing social media completions, designing and creating original content for social media platforms, evaluating and analysing our social media activity, designing and creating topical blog posts for our company website… and lots more! This role coincides with what I study so well, and helps me gain the experience I need. Therefore, it was an opportunity I could never pass up!
I’ve been familiar with That’s mine essentially my whole life, as the company was launched back in 2002, and my cousins Phoebe and Amelia, my brother Jack, me and others modelled the first ever That’s mine personalised products. Here’s some archive photos of us back in the day!
Overall, I am really thrilled for the year ahead, and working for this incredible company! Thank you That’s mine!
